爆炸地点附近有人民公园

据新华网英文版：URUMQI, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Explosion caused by vehicle collisions occurred around 8 a.m. Thursday at an open market in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, witnesses said.

An unknown number of people were injured at the open air morning market near the Renmin Park and were rushed to hospital.

Flames and heavy smoke were seen and the scene was cordoned off.

新华社5月22日电 目击者称，乌鲁木齐的一个露天市场今早8时遭到车辆撞击并引发爆炸。

爆炸发生在人民公园旁的一个露天早市，目前伤亡不明，伤者已被送医。

现场可以看到火焰和浓烟，目前已被封锁。

另据天山网讯（ 田山 报道）5月22日7时50分许，乌鲁木齐市沙依巴克区公园北街早市发生一起爆炸案，造成人员伤亡。

自治区和乌鲁木齐市有关部门迅速处置，伤员已全部送往医院救治。

案件正在调查中。
